The hot air generator, named "CAL", makes possible to transform the wood
working scrap in source of free energy, recovering the produced heat by
the combustion with hot air distributed in the room by an helicoidal fan.
The steel combustion chamber is internally covered by hollow and firebricks,
fairing in sheet panels, inferior cast iron grill; under the grill, there
is a wide box for cinders collection. The cold air, inhaled by an helicoidal
fan put on the CAL posterior panel, is pushed out and heated in the volume
comprised between the external panels and the fireplace, before going out
from the opening with adjustable fins put on the frontal panel. It is possible
to charge the CAL 60 from the top and frontally with shaving sacks or wood
pieces (approximately 0,2 mc.material). On the whole, given the costs of
traditional fuels, the investment in a CAL is recovered in three months.
